C.A.R. Memorial Scholarship Fund Honoring Peggy Gillett Initiated

Philip Tedesco, RCE, CAE, Chief Executive Officer of the Santa Cruz Association of Realtors® (SCAOR) presented a check for $1,000 to the California Association of Realtors® (C.A.R.) Scholarship Fund at the C.A.R. winter business meeting in Monterey on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, to initiate a perpetual scholarship in honor of Margaret “Peggy” Gillett. (PRWEB) February 2, 2005 — Born in Minneapolis, Peggy had lived in Aptos, California, for the past 10 years and worked as a real estate broker for the past 15, running Realty Executives of Santa Cruz County. She was SCAOR President in 1999 and 2004, and 2002 Realtors® of the Year. Peggy passed away in November 2004; she was 56 years old. Her contribution to the Santa Cruz Association of Realtors® and the local real estate community was filled with endless energy, dedication and commitment. She will be greatly missed. To honor Peggy’s memory, please send contributions to her scholarship fund to C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation, 525 South Virgil Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90020, and Attn: Luming Lutero – Acct. Make sure to note Peggy’s name on your check to ensure that the money will be deposited into the appropriate account. The California Association of Realtors® Scholarship Foundation operates under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations to the Foundation are tax deductible. The fundraising goal of Peggy’s scholarship fund is to collect $10,000 of contributions, which will enable the scholarship to become perpetual.
